A gorgeous recycled wool yarn! Weft Knitting Co specialises in manufacturing jumpers and other clothing items using New Zealand Merino wool and possum fibres. This yarn is made by recycling bits of garment off-cuts and leftover yarn. The materials are shredded and sent down the road to be carded, blended with virgin wool and spun into this beautifully soft knitting yarn. Turning what is normally a waste stream into a first grade, high quality product.

30% Possum & 70% Merino Wool

+ Knit as DK 8ply with 4mm needles

+ Each skein is approximately 50g / 130 meters (142 yards)

+ 22 sts x 30 rows = 10cm x 10cm

Care Instructions: Gentle machine wash (warm/30 degrees Celsius) with wool detergent on normal spin dry. Tumble dry on low heat for the first time only (this brings out the possum fur from the yarn) add in a towel or extra washing to bulk the load. Otherwise, dry flat in the shade. Dry cleanable. Do not bleach.
