100% Polwarth Wool yarn grown & milled here on the South Island of New Zealand. Polwarth is characterised by its long, soft, lustrous fibres. A great knitting yarn that is 100% traceable from farm gate to finished yarn (to us here at Frank’s!).

The fleece is grown in Oxford, North Canterbury by Jack & Eleanor Patterson at Starcrest Farm, scoured in Timaru, dyed in Oamaru and milled in Christchurch.

The wool is naturally coloured, overdyed and woollen spun to make a rustic, heathered yarn that’s very soft and great for colourwork.

+ Knit as DK 8ply with 4mm needles

+ Each skein is approximately 50g / 108 meters (118 yards)

+ 22 sts x 30 rows = 10cm x 10cm

Care Instructions: Gentle hand wash in warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not dry clean. So not spin or tumble dry. Dry flat in the shade. Do no bleach. Turn garment inside out before laundering.
