Made from vintage New Zealand woolly blankets and colourful bits of recycled textiles. Sewn by hand and finished with hand embroidered details. These are truly one-of-a-kind works of art made by Anne Gilginas, a fabric forager who delights in salvaging & repurposing materials, sewing up a storm and giving them a new lease on life.

The subject of this piece is the iconic tūī, a New Zealand endemic bird that makes its way into people’s hearts through its distinct birdsong & beautiful bluey green colouring.
